Description Badat Avenue (Turkish: Badat Caddesi, literally: Baghdad Avenue) is a notable high street located in the Anatolian part of Istanbul, Turkey. It is a main street in an upper-scale residential area. The one-way avenue with old plane trees is flanked with shopping malls, department stores, fashion garment stores, elegant shops offering world famous brands, restaurants of international and local cuisine, pubs and cafs, luxury car dealers and bank agencies. Badat Avenue can also be considered as a large open-air shopping mall. Most of the retail stores are open on all days of the week, including Sunday afternoon. This is one of the last old houses remaining at this avenue.
Onay Gençtürk, Ghent Member Since August 2009 Artist Statement I love to take pictures! Although I have many interests, photography has always been my first passion. I carry my camera often with me and I just shoot what I see and what I like… and somehow, I seem to find a way to incorporate the creation of lasting images.
I love to take black and white or color photos... and once I have my tripod around on a cloudy day, I might take some hdr pictures too.
As I’m from Istanbul and I live in Belgium, therefor my first 2 photo galleries also got those names :D
